*Khullam Khulla : A Good Book to read*
Rishi Kapoor, veteran actor, was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2018 and
went to New York for treatment. After a successful treatment over the one year,
he returned to India on 26th September 2019 and on 29th April 2020, he was
admitted due to breathing difficulty and died there on 30th April 2020,
On 20th February 2017, I have written my views on the autobiography
written by him which I am posting again.
Rishi Kapoor is not great actor like Amitabh Bacchan or like Rajesh
Khana or like Dharmendra but still his autobiography Khullam Khulla is good
book to read due time his unconcerned some interesting facts. Really interesting
to read.

Rishi Kapoor, son of Raj Kapoor and father of Today's leading actor
Ranbeer Kapoor, still has his own immage. He was definitely a romantic hero of
70s and 80s. He started his career from Mera Nam Joker as junior Raj Kapoor but
his lead role was in Bobby. From this his journey in Hindi Cinema started.
In this book, he has mentioned about his family members Raj
Kapoor, his mother, his two uncles Shammi and Shashi Kapoor, His children, his
siblings and about his wife Neetu Kapoor.He is saying Neetu should get an
award for sticking with him for 37 years and gave him complete family. He
thanks to her for her role as leading lady not only on screen but also as life
partner
He didn't hide his father's relations with his leading actresses. He
said that his father had dalliances with his leading ladies like Nargis &
Vyjayanthimala. He said that Vyjayanthimala has wrongly accused his father by
saying that his father had manufactured romance with her due to publicity. She
wouldn't have written this if Raj Kapoor would have been alive.
He talked about his relationship with Amitabh Bacchan. On the shoot of
Kabhi Kabhi, his relationship with big B was no good as he purchased an film
fare award by paying Rs.25000.00 for Bobby. For this he is still feeling
guilty. Due to this, Amitabh didn't get an award for Janjeer. His relationship
with him improved only on the set of Amar Akabar Anthony and became close when
Amitabh's daughter married with his Nephew. He also mentioned that Amitabh
never gave credit to his co star for success of the film. He has clearly
mentioned the names of co-stars.
He said that he himself was responsible for not casting Rajesh Khanna
for Satyam Shivam Sunderam when many Kapoors are available to do the role. At
last this role has gone to his uncle Shashi Kapoor.
He has mentioned about Salim Javed. How Salim khan & Javed Akhtar
threathen him for rejecting the role for their film and how did Javed Akhtar
behaved with him after success of Bobby. He also said that he is not enjoying
today's song. He also said that Shahrukh khan should thank him for not
accepting role in Dharr
There are so many events to read in this book. Please read, you also can
enjoy and also English language.
