Flush a good book : Written by Virgina Wolf
It is a common tendency of human beings to read the biographies of eminent personalities . I am also not an exceptional to this; but very recently, I have read the biography of a dog written by Virginia Woolf and name of the book is Flush. It is not a biography of ordinary dog but an eminent cocker spaniel Victorian dog belonging to an eminent Victorian Poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning who eventually married with an eminent Poet Robert Browning.

Virginia Woolf was an English novelist, essayist, feminist & first writer to write in modern style. This book is based on two poems written on Flush by Elizabeth Browning & published correspondence of Elizabeth Browning with her husband, Robert Browning. Book stated that Flush leads restrained but happy life with the poet until she meets Robert Browning. This love life of Poet leaves the forgotten dog heartbroken & Flush tries to do Mutiny and attempts to bit Robert Browning who remains unharmed.
One day, Flush was stolen & bundled away to one of the rockeries of East England when he was accompanied with Poet during her shopping. He was held there in squalid conditions. To get the dog back, Poet paid £ 6. After this incidence, Flush reconciled with his owner 's husband & accompanied them to Pisa & Florence where Flush represented himself as Egalitarian in the presence of the mongrel dogs of Italy.
At last, Flush lived out his days with his owner & her husband. He passed away peacefully in his sleep in the company of his mistress. This book is one of the best journey through the life of spaniel who touched so many human lives in different ways. It enchants right from the opening pages. Even after Flush has adventures of his own with bulling dogs & robbers, this book allows readers with glimpse into Browning's life.
It is a different style of book written by Virginia Woolf. Good one to read not only to animal lovers but also for others to understand the relationship between human beings & animals.
