Display of True Sporting Spirit

Display of True Sporting Spirit India played its first Test matched in at Lord's on 25th June 1932. It was a three- day Test. And at Lord's, there was for the first time India was playing as a nation. It became an independent political nation in 1947. In 1932, no one really appreciated but history was taking place at Lord's which had a resonance that went far beyond Cricket. India did not do well even after good performances of bowlers like Amar Sing &  Mohammed Nissar and some good strokes of C K Nayudu. Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay: A Resourceful Indian Woman who Wore Many Hats .   She was a national Icon. She was a leader of India’s independence movement and also the social reformer.
