Baloo Palwankar popularly known as P Baloo.

Baloo Palwankar  popularly known as P Baloo.   While reading the historical book on cricket “a Corner of the foreign Field“ written by an eminent historian Ramchandra Guha, I came across the contribution of four brothers towards the Indian Cricket. They are Vithal Palwankar, Shivram Palwankar, Ganpat Palwankar and above all Baloo Palwankar . None of the writers on cricket has mentioned about these cricket personalities before Ramchandra Guha. Thanks to Mr. Guha for providing such great information through this book. It was first in the game of cricket, commentary was introduced. Latter BBC introduced the commentary in Rugby match between England and Wales ...

Coconut Tree : a tree from heaven

The Timeless Gift of the Coconut Tree: A Tree From Heaven It is said that a strong heart, much like the coconut tree, rises higher the more it is burdened. The comparison is apt. The coconut tree—revered in India as the Kalpavriksha , the “tree of heaven”—is perhaps nature’s most generous creation. Every part of it serves life in one way or another. It offers food and drink, fuel and fiber, timber and oil. Across India and around the world, millions of families depend directly or indirectly on the coconut for their livelihood. India ranks among the world’s leading producers of coconuts, with Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Odisha, and West Bengal contributing significantly. In these coastal regions, coconut cultivation is not merely a traditional activity; it is a vital pillar of the agricultural economy. A Tree with Ancient Roots The coconut tree is believed to have originated in the Malay region, where it is known as nyor kali . In Sanskrit ...
